I greet you and bless you,

I respond to your letter of 12 Elul*. At a propitious moment, your name will be mentioned near the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit will protect us, so that you obtain the satisfaction of the wishes of your heart, in all the domains you mention.

You inform me of what happened to you, concerning your Tefillin* of Rabbeinu Tam* (note 1: Which the addressee of this letter had been unable to put on, one time. See, on this subject, the Likkutei Sichos*, volume 21, page 358). You will therefore study, on various occasions, the laws of Tefillin*, of the Admur HaZaken* (note 2: In his Shulchan Aruch*). It would be good to reach a good knowledge of them, at least for the most common paragraphs, which excludes those concerning their writing. Indeed, these days are propitious for this, since we are in Elul*, the month of mercy and good will. With my blessing to give good news, as well as to be inscribed and sealed for a good year,
