Igrot Kodesh · Letter 8508 — Tzedakah

Volume 22 · Letter 291 · To: auxiliaires féminines de la Yechiva Tom’heï Temimim

By the grace of Hashem,

4 Elul* 5722,

Brooklyn,

To the women's auxiliary of the Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim*

Lubavitch of Montreal, may Hashem grant you long life,

I bless you and greet you,

I received, with pleasure, your letter of 3 Elul*, regarding your preparatory meeting, which must examine the new actions for the year that begins, on behalf of the holy Yeshivah* Tomchei Temimim*, in its new premises. Without doubt, each one of you and all together, you will renew your accomplishments, with a new enthusiasm and a perfect self-sacrifice, in view of the importance and the value of this institution of complete Torah*, which connects its revealed teaching to the profound dimension, which makes evident the central and profound point of Judaism, so that it be visible on the outside, in daily conduct, in all domains, in conformity with the directives of our holy Torah*, Torah* of life, of its revealed part and of its hidden aspect.

Our Sages say (note 1: In the Midrash*, on the verse Shemos* 3, 6) that: "the Holy One, blessed be He, acts measure for measure" (note 2: In the manner in which one acts toward Him), but in a greatly increased proportion. Your intervention for this holy Yeshivah* will therefore allow the true and profound dimension of the Will of Hashem to be revealed, Who desires the well-being of every Jew. And, this will be expressed evidently, in a visible and tangible manner. I wish you much success in your action. On the occasion of the new year, you will be inscribed and sealed for all that is beneficial, yourselves and all the members of your family. With my blessing to give good news of all that has just been said,
