By the grace of Hashem,

23 Menachem* Av* 5722,

To the young Nassan,

I greet you and bless you,

I received, with pleasure, your letter of the eve of the holy Shabbos*. I read therein, with satisfaction, your impressions of the visit of the young men who were delegated from here (note 1: To visit the communities during the summer, in order to disseminate Judaism and Chassidus*. See, on this subject, letter no. 8375), to whom Hashem will grant long days and good years. Moreover, they themselves told me that you helped them and came to their assistance, to the extent of your possibilities.

Their visit to your city was necessarily limited in time, whereas you yourself remained there subsequently. I therefore have good hope that you will endeavor to pursue such actions. In fact, this is indeed the role of each one, for the dissemination of Judaism leads to the study of the Torah* and to the practice of the Mitzvos*. And, the assurance has been given to us (note 2: In tractate Yoma* 38b) that one comes to the aid of him who wants to purify himself. With my blessing and thanking you for your information about the activities of Chabad* in our Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt, very soon and in our days, through our righteous Moshiach*,

נעם לי לקבל מכתבו מעש"ק, ושמחתי [מ]כתבו אודות הרושם מביקורם של האברכים השלוחים מכאן שליט"א, ובפרט שמצדם הודיעוני אשר עזר להם וסייע כפי יכולתו.

ותקותי אשר כיון שביקורם של הנ"ל בעירו מוכרח הי' להיות מוגבל בזמן, והוא הרי נשאר במקום גם לאחרי זה, שישתדל להמשיך בפעולות מסוג האמור, ובפרט שהרי הן תפקידו של כל אחד ואחד, כיון שהן בהפצת היהדות המביאה לידי לימוד התורה וקיום המצות, והובטחנו הבא לטהר מסייעין אותו.

בברכה ותודה בעד [הידיעות] מפעולות חב"ד באה"ק - ת"ו במהרה בימינו על ידי משיח צדקנו.
