Igrot Kodesh · Letter 807 — Health
Volume 4 · Letter 42
By the grace of Hashem,
27 Mar-Cheshvan 5711,
Brooklyn,
Blessings and greetings,
Our friends, the great and distinguished Rabbanim, Chassidim* who fear Hashem and devote themselves to communal needs with mesirus nefesh*, Rav Sh. Levitin and Rav E. Simpson, have transmitted to me news of you and of your family.
I would like to express to you my wish that your son, who has entered the army, return home in good health and strong. Concerning this, you will transmit to him that he must, at all costs, put on tefillin* every day, except Shabbat and festivals. This will preserve him from danger.
I enclose two messages that you will forward to your son, with all my wishes. You can communicate to him our address, if he wishes to correspond with our office and wants to receive, from time to time, reading worthy of interest.
With my blessing,
Menachem Schneerson
