Igrot Kodesh · Letter 806 — Health

Volume 4 · Letter 41

By the grace of Hashem,
26 Mar-Cheshvan 5711,

Greetings and blessings,

I received your letter of Sunday of Parshat Vayera, in which you tell me that your little daughter is uncomfortable in her Jewish education class, that she often cries. You fear that her study of Yiddishkeit* will be compromised by this.

I inquired about the curriculum and the textbooks of this school. From the information I obtained, I do not think that there is any reason to fear what you say. She probably has difficulty making a friend.

It would be necessary, then, for the teacher to help her make friends. Thus, your little daughter will feel better, and you will see that there is no reason to worry about her.

You should know that your little daughter is a student of a school founded by my father-in-law the Rebbe, which was placed under his authority and still is, at the present time. It is clear that nothing bad can come of it, chas v'shalom*. On the contrary, it is the means to obtain health, material and spiritual.

Thanks to the children who are students of these institutions, the warmth of Yiddishkeit and of Chassidut* is introduced into the homes of the parents.

I await from you a good news — that your little daughter feels better and progresses in her study of Yiddishkeit.

With my blessing and in the hope of receiving your good news,
Menachem Schneerson

You will find enclosed the report of the words said during Shabbat Bereishit. You will no doubt read them with the appropriate attention, in particular paragraphs 21 and 22.
