Greetings and blessings,

I received your telegram with pleasure. You tell me that your daughter has begun to attend the Jewish school. I hope that, with your wife, you will derive much Yiddishe* nachas* from her, both materially and spiritually.

You are no doubt familiar with the following image. A child is comparable to a sapling. A small split made on it will become, with time, a deep cavity. In the same way, the slightest deficiency in the chinuch* of a child can take on, with time, considerable proportions.

This is the reason why you and your wife will take to heart the improvement of your daughter's chinuch. Thus, she will be a Jewish young woman from whom you will derive much Yiddishe nachas.
