I greet and bless you,

I reply to your letter of 23 Elul.

You ask me which school your daughter should attend. You must, of course, find a peaceful means to settle your conflicts with the management of the Jewish school. But your child must in no way pay the price for it. She must receive the best Jewish education. She must not suffer from the fact that a disagreement, which can only be temporary, is not yet settled. The education of a child cannot be modified at one's will.

The eve of Rosh Hashanah* does not allow me to treat this subject in as detailed a manner as it should have been. I hope, however, that these few lines will suffice. May Hashem grant that you have much Yiddishe nachas from your daughter.
