I greet you and bless you,

After a long interruption, I duly received your letter of 26 Iyar*, with what was enclosed. It is clear that in this matter, it is necessary to conform to the instructions of the specialist doctor you cite (note 1: Advising the hospitalization of the daughter of the recipient of this letter). This is for the good of your daughter, for it is clear that at home she will not be able to receive the care and treatment that are possible within the facility this doctor recommends. However, it is necessary, beforehand, to obtain more details about this institution. Above all, you will contact one of its doctors in order to know how her condition will evolve and, especially, to be certain that she will be given all the necessary attention, without adhering to mere routine. This is self-evident.

May Hashem, Who heals all flesh and performs wonders, grant that your action forge the receptacle that will enable the reception of the Heavenly blessing, as it is said: "And Hashem your Elokim* will bless you in all that you do." If you have not yet verified this until now, perhaps it would be judicious to speak to the specialist doctor about the state of her menstrual cycle. If she has a problem in this regard, it is certain that by treating it, her general condition will improve. You will also ask him whether medications of the amino acid type may prove effective in her situation. You will verify, furthermore, whether a treatment based, for example, on electroshock may be suitable for her.

According to the information that has reached me, you indeed participate in the actions of disseminating the wellsprings (note 2: Of Chassidus*) and you even enjoy success in this domain. I am therefore surprised that you do not speak of it. Our Sages* emphasize, in tractate Moed Katan* 9a, the importance of a Mitzvah* that one cannot put into practice through the intermediary of someone else. You should therefore have concentrated on the circles linked to this party (note 3: Presumably an Israeli political party with whose members the recipient of this letter is in contact), particularly on the youth and the young people. Someone told me that religion and everything relating to it is viewed there in a favorable manner, or even more than that (note 4: More than favorable). Here too, the criterion to retain is concrete action, the effective practice of Mitzvos*, with words emanating from the heart.

לאחרי הפסק הכי ארוך נתקבל מכתבו מכ"ו באייר עם המצורף אליו.

ומובן שבכגון זה צריך לעשות כהוראת הרופא מומחה אודותו כותב, שהרי הוא גם טובת הבת שתחי' שבודאי בבית אי אפשר שתקבל כל הענינים והטפול האפשרי בסביבה אודותה ממליץ הרופא. אלא מקודם צריך להודע יותר פרטים אודות המוסד והעיקר למצוא קשרים עם הרופא שבמוסד למען יוכלו לדעת הנעשה אתה והעיקר להיות בטוח שיטפלו בה בשימת לב הראוי', ולא באופן שיגרתי וק"ל.

ויה"ר מהשי"ת הרופא כל בשר ומפליא לעשות, שהעשי' מצדם תהי' כלי לקבלת הברכה ממעל וכמ"ש וברכך ה"א בכל אשר תעשה.

אולי, באם לא ביררו זה עד עתה, כדאי להעיר את הרופא מומחה בהנוגע למצב הווסת שלה, שבאם אינו בסדר, בודאי ששיפור המצב בזה ישפר מצבה בכללות. כן לשאול אותו האם בכגון זה יש מקום לסממנים מסוג "אמינאסיד" ובהנוגע להמיחוש שלה הטפול ע"י הלם וכיו"ב.

לפלא ובפרט ע"פ הידיעות המתקבלות מהשתתפותו בפעולות דהפצת המעינות ומהצלחתו בזה, שאינו מזכיר מאומה בשטח האמור, וע"פ הפלאת חז"ל בגודל ענין מצוה שאי אפשר לעשותה ע"י אחרים (מו"ק סוף עמוד א' דף ט') לכאורה צריך הי' להתרכז בהחוגים דמפלגת... ובפרט בהנוגע להנוער והצעירים בה, וביחוד כמו שאמר לי מר...שי' שיש שם יחס אוהדי לדת ועניני' ועוד יותר מיחס אוהד, והרי גם בכגון זה הבחינה בזה היא העשי' בפועל, כוונתי שבהפגישה אתם מציעים תכנית מעשית קיום מצות מעשיות בפועל, ובדברים היוצאים מן הלב.

ובעמדנו ערב זמן מ"ת תורה אחת המאחדת הגשמית והרוחנית הכללי ופרטי, יהי רצון שיבשר טוב בכל הנ"ל.
