By the grace of Hashem,

To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, the Rav Leib (note 1: Rav L. Tzints, of Brooklyn),

I greet you and bless you,

I duly received volume 3 of the collection of commentaries of the Raal and I thank you for it. Everything is an effect of Divine Providence*. I therefore have the obligation and also the merit of emphasizing to you the necessity of establishing a fixed time for the study of the profound part of the Torah*. In our era, this has been revealed through Chassidus* (note 2: The Rebbe* notes at the bottom of the page: "At the conclusion of this book, at the end of page 121, you will find the following affirmation: 'One must attach oneself to the Torah* in the most profound manner, as well as to its holiness.' You will also see the words of the Bayis Chadash* on the Tur*, Orach Chaim*, chapter 47, at the paragraph: 'Rabbi Yehudah says.' You will consult these texts").

How much more is this indispensable in our generation, that of the heel of Moshiach*, and in this country. Furthermore, you receive the assistance deriving from your lineage, since you are a descendant of the author of this work. With my blessing to give good tidings of all this,

ומאחר שכל ענין בהשגחה פרטית, עלי החובה (והזכות) לעוררו על ההכרח בקביעות עתים בלימוד פנימיות התורה שבדורנו נתגלתה בתורת החסידות*, ובפרט בדורנו דרא דעקבתא דמשיחא ובמדינה זו, והרי גם גזע צור מחצבתו בעהמ"ח ספר הנ"ל מסייעתו.
