By the grace of Hashem,
26 Elul 5710,

To the young man, the Chassid, Rav ...,

I greet and bless you,

I reply to your letter.

May Hashem grant that you be a worthy vessel for the full realization of all the blessings, material and spiritual, that my father-in-law, the Rebbe, granted you.

You have surely seen what HaYom Yom relates, on the date of 11 Nissan [1], regarding the practices it is fitting to adopt on one's birthday — particularly this one, since you are completing your twenty-second year.

You will consult tractate Kiddushin 30a, which speaks, according to one opinion [2], of the age of twenty-two.

With my blessing that you be inscribed and sealed for a good year, that you soon find the good match that will suit you, materially and spiritually,
