Centennial of his birth (note 2: The Rebbe* notes at the bottom of the page: "According to the Chanoch LaNaar, page 8, he was born on the 20th (Kaf) of Cheshvan* 5621 (Kaf Aleph), which makes two Kafs that allude to the 'Supreme Crown.' See the Zohar*, volume 1, at the beginning of Parshas* Chayei Sarah*"),

To each man and woman among the inhabitants of Kfar Chabad*, founded and directed by my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, may Hashem grant you long life,

I greet you extensively and bless you,

On the occasion of the Festival of Matzos* (note 3: The Rebbe* notes at the bottom of the page: "Consult the commentary of the Zechiros of the Tzaddik*, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev, in the section relating to the remembrance of the Exodus from Egypt"), the time of our freedom, which approaches for us and for all of Israel, for good, I express herewith my blessing to each man and woman among you — a blessing to be liberated from everything that obstructs a joyous and enthusiastic service of Hashem, for a Kosher* and joyous holiday.

Joy breaks barriers (note 4: The Rebbe* notes at the bottom of the page: "According to the lengthy explanation of the series of Chassidic* discourses entitled: 'You shall rejoice,' of 5657") and one will therefore adopt, regarding the Torah* and the Mitzvos*, an attitude surpassing one's limits and nature. In this way, Hashem will do the same Above and He will remove for the person the limitations of the world, so that he may be blessed with children, health, and prosperity. All of this will be granted with generosity (note 5: The Rebbe* notes at the bottom of the page: "See the end of the Chanoch LaNaar, based on Tosafos* at tractate Shabbos* 156a, as explained by the series of Chassidic* discourses entitled: 'The many waters,' chapter 174").

In conformity with the saying (note 6: The Rebbe* notes at the bottom of the page: "According to the talks of the festival of Pesach* 5703") of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, the festival of Pesach* continues and illuminates all the days; it shines permanently. May Hashem therefore grant that it be so in all domains at once, specific and general, during all the days of the year, until the "breaker of barriers" comes — our righteous Moshiach* (note 7: The Rebbe* notes at the bottom of the page: "Michah 2:13, based on Aggadas Bereishis*, at the end of chapter 63. See also Midrash Bereishis* Rabbah, at the end of chapter 85") — who will liberate us in the true and complete redemption. Then the promise will be fulfilled: "You shall spread out to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south." With my blessing for a Kosher* and joyous festival of Pesach*, as well as for a healthy and joyous summer,

I have sent Matzah Shemurah* and I have asked the general committee of Kfar Chabad*, its spiritual committee, and the great Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, the Rav S. Z. Shlita* (note 8: Rav Shneur Zalman Garelik, Rav of Kfar Chabad*), that it be distributed to its inhabitants, as well as to several of the communal leaders of Chabad*, to whom Hashem will grant long life, in our Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt. And may Hashem grant that this Matzah* exert its full effect (note 9: The Rebbe* notes at the bottom of the page: "See the series of Chassidic* discourses entitled VeKachah, of 5637, chapter 60"), that of "the food of faith" and "the food of healing" (note 10: The Rebbe* notes at the bottom of the page: "See, on this subject, the explanation of the Alter Rebbe*, in the Hayom Yom* of 5703, at the date of 15 Nissan*").

שלום רב וברכה!

לקראת חג המצות, זמן חירותנו, הבא עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה, הנני בזה להביע ברכתי לכל אחד ואחת מהם - ברכה לחירות מכל ענינים המבלבלים מעבודת ה' בשמחה ובטוב לבב ולחג כשר ושמח.

אשר שמחה פורץ גדר, שנוהג בעניני תומ"צ למעלה מגדרו וטבעו, וההנהגה עמו מלמעלה - שפורצין בשבילו גדרו של עולם ומתברך בבני חיי ומזוני (ובכל ענינים אלה - באופן ד)רוויחי.

ומתאים לפתגם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר אשר חג הפסח נמשך ומאיר בכל יום ומאיר תמיד - יהי רצון שיהי' כן בכל עניניהם הפרטים והכללים גם יחד, ובימי כל השנה כולה,

עדי יבוא הפורץ - משיח צדקנו - ויגאלנו בגאולה האמתית ויקוים היעוד - ופרצת ימה וקדמה וצפונה ונגבה.

בברכת חג הפסח כשר ושמח ולקיץ בריא ושמח.
