I greet you and bless you,

A) I am responding to your letter of Rosh Chodesh* Adar*. At a propitious moment, your name and that of your wife will be mentioned near the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us, in accordance with what you write to me. You ask me about your apartment (note 1: See, on this subject, letter no. 7523). As we have heard many times from my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, one must, in this matter, take into account the opinion of the wife, who is the mistress of the house, in conformity with the verse: "The honor of the king's daughter is within" (note 2: Being more often at home, she is more clearly concerned by its choice). Naturally, it remains possible to explain to her, in a pleasant and peaceful manner, your conceptions and ideas, even if they contradict hers. Perhaps she will be convinced. But if this is not the case, one must take her opinion into account.

B) Regarding your names, I do not understand why you want to change them. Indeed, you and your wife bear sacred names.

C) Concerning the success of your sacred mission — education based on sacred values — the assurance has been given, regarding this and more generally for everything that concerns the Torah* and the Mitzvos*, that "one comes to the aid of the one who desires to purify himself." Your decision to devote yourself to it with ardor and self-sacrifice will therefore bear fruit, which means that you will experience increased success in this matter. In our era in particular, the domain of education is fundamental, particularly paramount.

I hope that you participated in the Chassidic* farbrengen* on the day of the Hilula* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, leader of Israel, on 10 Shevat*. You will therefore retain this motivation throughout the year. With my blessing to give good tidings,

בעת רצון יזכירו אותו ואת זוגתו תי' על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע מתאים לתוכן כתבו.

ולשאלותיו בענין הדירה, כפי ששמענו כמה פעמים מכ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הנה בעניני דירה כפשוטם יש להתחשב עם האשה עקרת הבית, עפ"י מש"כ כל כבודה בת מלך פנימה. אף שכמובן (בדרכי נועם ובדרכי שלום) יכול לבאר לה גם טעמים ונימוקים דהשקפה מנגדת להשקפתה ואולי תשוכנע, אבל באם לא יש להתחשב בדעתה.

ב) בהנוגע להשמות, אינם מובנים הטעמים למה ישנו אותם, שהרי שמו וכן שם זוגתו תי' הם שמות קודש.

ג) אודות הצלחה במלאכתו מלאכת הקודש חנוך על טהרת הקודש, בענינים אלו ובכללות עניני תורה ומצות הובטחנו הבא לטהר מסייעין אותו, ולכן החלטתו להתעסק בזה במסירה ונתינה תביא פירות, ז. א. הצלחה נוספת בעבודתו האמורה, ובפרט בתקופתנו שטח החינוך חיוני הוא וחשוב ביותר וביותר.

תקותי שהשתתף בהתועדות דיום ההילולא של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע נשיא ישראל, עשירי בשבט, ויקח מהתעוררות זו על כל השנה.
