By the grace of Hashem,

20 Marcheshvan* 5721,

centennial of the birth of the Rebbe Rashab*,

To the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, the Rav Michoel Yehudah Aryeh Leib (note 1: Rav M. Y. A. L. Cohen. See, regarding him, letter no. 7385) HaCohen,

I greet you and bless you,

I received your letter, informing me that you returned safely to the Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt, and that you indeed conveyed my greetings there. After this beginning, each of the guests, to whom Hashem will grant long life, will surely continue all of this, adding, advancing, illuminating, in accordance with the statement of our Sages* that: "the guest bestows a blessing." You must follow the straight path (note 2: The Rebbe* notes at the bottom of the page: "Iggeres HaKodesh, chapter 27") that my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, taught us, so that we follow his ways for eternity — integrate this path (note 3: The Rebbe* notes at the bottom of the page: "Zohar, Volume 3, page 244b"), this level that encompasses the eighteen blessings of the prayer (note 4: The Amidah).

We have had the merit of receiving from our Sages* a teaching for everything concerning life and its events. Our masters and leaders have clearly explained all of this in Chabad* Chassidus*, in a rational and logical manner. In this regard, the work (note 5: The Rebbe* notes at the bottom of the page: "Talk of 19 Kislev 5693, paragraph 22") of our great master, who disseminated Chassidus*, was wondrous, organized in the most harmonious manner. He himself sent hidden emissaries, who taught the ways of Chassidus*, presented them, and drew people closer. He delegated his disciples to the most distant regions. It is surely unnecessary to explain at length that the acts of the righteous, their teachings, are immutable and exercise their effect. Our master invokes immense mercy so that the acts of his children, his own acts, produce good fruits, of a true good, good for the heavens and good for the creatures, a good that produces fruits (note 6: The Rebbe* notes at the bottom of the page: "Tractate Kiddushin 40a"). This is also the channel and the vessel enabling one to obtain the blessings of Hashem in what concerns you personally, both materially and spiritually. Awaiting good tidings of everything just said, I conclude by giving you my blessing.

ובודאי לאחרי ההתחלה - ימשיכו בזה כאו"א מהאורחים שליט"א באופן דמוסיף והולך מוסיף ואור, וכדרז"ל אורח מברך. והרי עלינו ללכת בדרך ישרה אשר הורנו מדרכיו ונלכה באורחותיו נס"ו - הורנו כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, יוסף אורח, דדרגי' כליל ח"י ???

וזכינו אשר רז"ל מסרו לנו הוראה בכל עניני החיים ומאורעותיהם, ונתבארו באר היטב על ידי רבותינו נשיאינו בתורת חסידות חב"ד באופן דהבנה והסברה.

ובזה איך אשר עבודתו של כ"ק רבינו הגדול בעניני התפשטות החסידות היתה על דרך ההפלאה בחכמה גדולה של הסתדרות והי' שולח שלוחים בסתר, לעורר לגשת ולהתקרב, לדרכי החסידות, והי' שולח את תלמידיו גם למדינות הרחוקות.

ובטח למותר להאריך אשר מעשי צדיקים והוראותיהם קיימים לעד ופועלים פעולתם, ונשיאנו מעורר רחמים רבים אשר מעשי ילדיו מעשי ידיו יביאו פירות טובים בטוב האמתי, טוב לשמים טוב לבריות טוב העושה פירות,

והרי זהו ג"כ הצנור והכלי לברכות השי"ת בענינים הפרטיים, בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.

המצפה לבשורות טובות בכל האמור וחותם בברכה.
