To Mrs. Kenya (note 1: Mrs. K. Deren, of Pittsburgh),

I bless you and greet you,

I duly received your letter of Monday evening, briefly describing the action of the Chabad* women, in the past, and what you envision doing in the future. May Hashem grant you constantly increasing success, in the most literal sense, in order to attract and integrate the greatest number of women among your members. You must tell yourself that each member represents a home, a family. Every initiative, every effort is therefore justified, especially if one tells oneself that this accomplishment will be much easier than what one imagines.

According to the well-known explanation of the Baal Shem Tov*, everything is an effect of Divine Providence*. Now, your letter reached me and I respond to it on the eve of 20 Cheshvan*, date of the birth of the Rebbe Rashab*, the father of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us. This year marks the centennial of this birth, as Chassidus* explains (note 2: See, on this subject, letter no. 7471) regarding the beginning of the Sidra* of this week: "And the life of Sarah was one hundred years..." May the teachings of the one whose anniversary we celebrate be luminous and may they bring warmth and clarity also to your action mentioned above. With my blessing to give good tidings of all this and of what concerns you personally,
