To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, of multiple accomplishments and good conduct, the Rav Shlomo, who is called Dr. Ehrman (note 1: Of Zurich. See, regarding him, letter no. 6708),

I greet you and bless you,

I received with pleasure your letter of 4 Marcheshvan*, in which you tell me that you have turned seventy-five years old, for long days and good years. May Hashem grant that with joy and enthusiasm, you continue your actions aimed at strengthening Judaism and disseminating it, which also includes your aid in the dissemination of the wellsprings of Chassidus*, the means of supporting the institutions of Chassidus* in our Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt, including in Paris, and in a constantly increasing manner, advancing and illuminating.

In accordance with the custom of the early Sages, which we heard from my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, it is appropriate to read the Psalm corresponding to the number of one's years. Thus, from the Bar Mitzvah*, one says Psalm 14, then each year one begins the following Psalm. May Hashem therefore grant that in your days and in ours, the promise stated by the Psalm that you have begun or will begin to say (note 2: In this case, Psalm 76) be fulfilled: "Hashem is known in Yehudah. His Name is great in Israel," at the true and complete redemption, by our righteous Moshiach*. As the verse then says, "His Sanctuary shall be in Jerusalem and His Residence in Zion." With my respects, my blessing to give good tidings of all this, of both what concerns you personally and your communal accomplishments,

ויהי רצון אשר מתוך שמחה וטוב לבב ימשיך בפעולותיו להחזקת היהדות והפצתה, ובזה גם בהסיוע של להפצת מעינות החסידות, בהדרכים דסיוע למוסדותיהם בארצנו הקדושה ת"ו גם בפאריז ובאופן דמוסיף והולך מוסיף ואור.

וע"פ מנהג קדמונים, ששמענוהו מכ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר ע"ד אמירת הקאפיטל תהלים המתאים למספר שנותיו של אדם (ז.א. שמעונת הבר מצוה מתחילים לאמר המזמור י"ד שבתהלים ובכל שנה שלאחרי זה המזמור שלאחר זה).

הנה יהי רצון שבימיו ובימינו יקוים היעוד שבמזמור שהתחיל (יתחיל) לאומרו, נודע ביהודה אלקים בישראל גדול שמו, בגאולה האמיתית והשלימה על ידי משיח צדקנו, ככתוב לאחרי זה, ויהי בשלם סכו ומעונתו בציון.
