I greet you and bless you,
You write to me that you could be in a better place (note 1: The recipient was complaining about the difficulties he faces in the place where a mission was entrusted to him by the Rebbe). This is very surprising, for the verse clearly affirms that: "It is Hashem Who prepares the steps of man and He approves His way." You will consult what the Hayom Yom* says on this subject (note 2: On the date of 10 Tammuz). In the plain sense, Divine Providence* has granted you the merit of assuming a sacred mission, that of separating the grain from the chaff, which is even more important than sitting in the Heavenly House of Study, according to tractate Bava Metzia* 85a — and is there a better place than that? Yet you show that you are not satisfied with it, which would be unthinkable!

... לכתבו שיכול להיות נמצא במקום יותר טוב וכו' - הפלא גדול, שהרי מקרא מלא דבר הכתוב מה' מצעדי גבר כוננו, ודרכו יחפץ (עיין בהיום יום בזה). וגם ע"פ פשוט זיכתה אותו ההשגחה העליונה בעבוה"ק דלהוציא יקר מזולל וכו' שהוא יותר מישיבה בישיבה של מעלה (ב"מ פה, א. ומה מקום טוב יותר מזה), והוא מראה כאילו אינו שבע רצון ח"ו מזה?!
