By the grace of Hashem,

I greet you and bless you,

I duly received your letter of the eve of the holy Shabbos*, Isru Chag* of Sukkos*. May Hashem grant that upon entering this new year, you give me good tidings of its content, in a constantly increasing manner. And our Sages* inform us that one Mitzvah* draws another.

I have just received the letter of your wife. With peace of mind, she will follow the opinion of the specialist doctors regarding the medical treatment and the operation. Thus, she will have a prompt and complete recovery. In general, the month of Kislev* is much more fruitful than the one that precedes it and the one that follows it.
