Igrot Kodesh · Letter 7464 — Faith & Bitachon
Volume 20 · Letter 19
By the grace of Hashem,
10 Marcheshvan* 5721,
Brooklyn,
I greet you and bless you,
You tell me that you will endeavor, to the greatest extent possible, not to remain at the vacation center. This is not what our masters and leaders teach, even in a case where no effort would have been necessary for this. It is quite clear that a Jew who has received the merit of dispensing an education based on sacred values in the place where you find yourself thereby possesses the Mitzvah* that he must observe more scrupulously. How can he assert that he will endeavor not to participate in it?
Even if you find one additional person compared to last year who will help you and take care of it, the work will remain important and extensive. It is difficult to evaluate at the outset to what extent this new person, at least in the function that will be entrusted to him, will become accustomed and habituated to it. Now, there is no reason whatsoever to enter into doubt, since it concerns, in this case, an activity that admittedly takes place once a year, but whose influence is exercised throughout the year. This is self-evident. You have surely received my response to your previous letter. With my blessing to give good tidings, in good health,
