You write to me that you have prayed, your entire life, with a Sephardic pronunciation. You ask me whether you should change and henceforth adopt the Ashkenazic pronunciation (note 1: See, on this subject, letters no. 2969, 7346 and 7677). Indeed, you have heard that the latter possesses a specific quality.

I am not aware of this assertion and I do not see why you would change the pronunciation to which you have been accustomed your entire life, as you write. Even if the Chabad* rite is the best, this does not concern the pronunciation (note 2: But only the text of the prayer).

... לכתבו, שכל ימיו מתפלל בהברה ספרדית, האם עליו לשנות להברה אשכנזית, ושמע שיש מעלות בתפלה בהברה זו.

שמועה זו לא שמעתי, ואיני רואה טעם למה ישנה מהברה שהורגל בה, ככתבו, כל ימיו. ואף שנוסח חב"ד הוא המובחר - אינו שייך לענין הברה.
