I greet you and bless you,

I am responding to your letter of the eve of the holy Shabbos* Parshas* Noach*, with what was enclosed. Of course, you and your wife must not leave the place where you currently find yourselves, since you earn your livelihood there, in the literal sense and in the spiritual domain. Thank Hashem and with His help, you and your children have succeeded in disseminating Judaism and the wellsprings (note 1: Of Chassidus) around you, in your city, but you are still only in the middle of this action. Consequently, with joy and enthusiasm, you will continue all of this, in particular through the intermediary of the women's and girls' Chabad* association. As it is explained regarding the Giving of the Torah*, it was said first: "This is what you shall say to the house of Yaakov," that is, to the women, and only after that: "you shall speak to the children of Israel," to the men. It is thanks to this that the Torah* is perpetuated, and Hashem will grant you the success of giving good tidings of it.

We have just experienced the month of Tishrei*, which has a general import concerning the entire year. It is therefore a matter of continuing its content and its actions throughout the year. Moreover, its conclusion is the joy of the Mitzvah*, the "time of our joy" (note 2: The festival of Sukkos), in general, and the joy of the Torah*, on Simchas Torah*, in particular. With my respects and my blessing to give good tidings of all this,

As is known, it is customary not to delay the date of a marriage after it has been set, especially when there is no reason to do so. If this marriage involves significant expenses, it would be good to consider holding it in the place where you reside. This will present various advantages.

מובן שאין עליהם, עליו וזוגתו תחי', להעתיק דירתם מ... כיון שפרנסה כפשוטה ופרנסה רוחנית מצוי להם שם, והרי ת"ל ובעזר השם הצליחו הם ויו"ח שי' בהפצת היהדות ובהפצת המעיינות בסביבתם ובמחנם הט', והמצב שבאמצע העבודה הם.

שלכן מתוך שמחה וטוב לבב ימשיכו בזה, ובפרט ע"י אגודת נשי ובנות חב"ד, וע"ד המבואר במתן תורה, שע"י הקדמת, כה תאמר לבית יעקב - אלו הנשים - ורק אח"כ, ותגיד לבני ישראל - אלו האנשים - היתה לתורה קיום, והשי"ת יצליחם לבשר טוב בכל האמור.

והרי באנו ז"ע מחדש תשרי, חדש הכללי לכל השנה, והנקודה להמשיך מעניניו ופעולות כל השנה ובפרט מסיום וחותם עניני שמחה של מצוה בזמן שמחתנו בכלל ושמחה של תורה בשמחת תורה בפרט.

נהוג כמפורסם אז מ'לייגט ניט אפ זמן החתונה לאחר שכבר הוקבע. ובפרט כשאין כל סיבה לזה.
