To the Rav, Chassid* who fears Hashem, the Rav Y. A. [1],

Greetings and blessings,

I reply to your letter of 5 Elul, briefly describing your life and what you are doing currently. I read with satisfaction that, in the place where you have just settled [2], you put into practice the mission that has been entrusted to you by my father-in-law, the Rebbe. He grants you forces for this, and you will therefore succeed in the most satisfying manner.

Various texts of Chassidus* establish that, by forging a material receptacle, one can obtain a supernatural success.

You say that, if you find later someone capable of replacing you, you will entrust your functions to him and will devote yourself to drawing young people to Torah and Mitzvos*. For now, this is not yet the case, and it is therefore a pity to lose time considering this question.

You ask me about the education of your daughter and ask me whether she should attend school. It would be good to constitute a class with several young girls and to engage some teachers, which would dispense them from attending school. The conditions would then be the best, as far as Torah and Mitzvos are concerned.

As you ask of me, I will mention your name and that of the members of your family, in an opportune moment, at the gravesite of my father-in-law, the Rebbe.

You will find enclosed the booklet of 18 Elul, which has just appeared, with the letter attached to it.

I conclude wishing you to be inscribed and sealed for a good year, as well as the members of your family and your entire community,

במענה על מכתבו מה' אלול המתאר בקצרה השתלשלות ימי חייו וסדר עבודתו עתה, הנה נהניתי לקרא במכתבו אשר במקומו החדש ממלא שליחות כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ, וכיון שניתנו לו כוחות המשלח הרי בטח יהי' בהצלחה.

וכמבואר בכמה מקומות בדא"ח אשר על ידי עשיית כלי בטבע נמשך בו הצלחה בדרך למעלה מן הטבע.

מה ששואל אם בהמשך הזמן ימצא מי שיוכל להחליף אותו אם יתן לו משרתו והוא יתעסק בקירוב נערים פשוטים להמשיכם לתורה ומצות, הנה כיון שלע"ע אין הדבר נוגע לפועל חבל על הטרדה בפתרון שאלה זו.

בנוגע לשאלתו בענין חינוך בתו אם תלך לסקול, מן הראוי להשתדל שיעשו כיתה מאיזה נערות ויקחו להם מורים כאלה שיפטרו את התלמידות מהליכה לסקול אחר. ואז בטח תהי' ההשגחה כדבעי בעניני תורה ויראת שמים...

כבקשתו אזכירו ואת ב"ב שיחיו על ציון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ בשעת הכושר.
