I bless you and greet you,

I received with pleasure your letter of 15 Elul*, in which you inform me of your sacred mission within the school Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak* Lubavitch*. At a propitious moment, your name will be mentioned near the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe*, whose merit protects us and whose name these schools bear. You inform me of the proposal according to which the male and female teachers would remain in the schools (note 1: During the vacation for the holidays) in order to lead the students to Tashlich* (note 2: On the second day of Rosh Hashanah*). Alternatively, one can also envision that they return home and rejoin their usual environment.

The content of Rosh Hashanah* is submission and it is therefore fitting to accept this proposal. At least, those male and female teachers who have no reason to refuse it will do so, apart from what has just been said. You will no doubt take advantage of these days to instill this submission in the students and in their surroundings. For this is indeed the channel and the vessel enabling one to be inscribed and sealed for a good year, materially and spiritually. In return, you will perhaps be able to go home for the holy day (note 3: Yom Kippur*) and at least for part of the time of our joy (note 4: Sukkos*), or even for its entirety, according to what you will decide with the director. To the extent possible, a rotation among the teachers is conceivable in this matter. With my blessing of success in your mission, as well as to be inscribed and sealed for a good year,

P.S.: Regarding the question you ask me at the beginning of your letter, it is quite evident that you are right to seek, for marriage, a young man with whom you will be able to establish a Chassidic* home, who will study Chassidus*, will have adopted its customs, its directives and its practices. Our masters and leaders, whose merit protects us, have underlined the immense importance of this in their talks. Of course, this is particularly important when one establishes a home and builds an eternal edifice in Israel.

נעם לי לקבל מכתבה מט"ו באלול, בו כותבת ע"ד מלאכתה בקדש בבית ספר אהלי יוסף יצחק ליובאוויטש.

ובעת רצון יזכירוה על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, אשר על שמו נקראים בתי ספר אלו.

ולכתבה אודות ההצעה, שהמורים-ות שי' ישארו בביה"ס שלהם בכדי לנהל התלמידים-ות שי' לתשליך, וכן לעומת זה ישנה הסברא דלהיות בבית ובסביבה שהורגלו בה.

הנה כיון שבראש השנה - ענינו קבלת עול, יש לקבל הצעה האמורה עכ"פ אלו המורים-ות שאין להם טעם מיוחד לשלילה, לבד הנ"ל, שבודאי ינצלו הימים להחדיר הענין דקבלת עול גם בהמושפעים שלהם ובהסביבה, והרי זה צנור וכלי לקבלת הכתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה בגשמיות וברוחניות. ותמורת הנ"ל אפשר שיהיו בביתם ביום הקדוש ועכ"פ חלק מימי חג שמחתינו או גם כולו, וכפי שיתדברו עם המנהל, ואם יש מקום ואפשר לעשות בזה תור דהמורים-ות בכל הנ"ל.
