To the Gathering of the Chabad* Chassidim*,
Settlement of Immigrants from Russia,

Greetings and blessings,

You have no doubt received the telegram that was sent to you yesterday. Here is its text:

"The national gathering of the Chabad Chassidim in the Holy Land [1] will no doubt strengthen and reinforce fervent prayer, the study of the revealed part of the Torah and of Chassidus*, the adoption of Chassidic practices, in accordance with the teaching of the Baal Shem Tov and of the Alter Rebbe.

"It is, indeed, on 18 Elul that these two luminaries began to shine. And one will likewise conform to the instructions of my father-in-law, the Rebbe. You will surely assume your mission as armies of Hashem, as the sequence of Chassidic discourses given for the histalkus [2] explains. No obstacle, therefore, will prevent the strengthening of Torah and Judaism, in general, the good education of the children in particular, those who are already on the spot and those who are currently emigrating to our Holy Land.

"This action of moral rescue is a sacred obligation, for each man and each woman. You will likewise strengthen the institutions founded by my father-in-law, the Rebbe, and Hashem will confer success upon you.

"With my blessing that you may put into practice the demand of my father-in-law, the Rebbe — that of making of Eretz Yisrael a Holy Land [3]. Your effort will be fruitful. All the participants in this gathering, with the members of their family, each man and woman among you, will be inscribed and sealed for a good year.

"כינוס הארצי של חסידי חב"ד בארץ הקדושה בטח יחזק ויוסיף בהעבודה שבלב זו תפילה, לימוד התורה הניגלית ודא"ח, והדרכה בדרכי החסידות על פי תורת הבעש"ט ואדמו"ר הזקן, שביום הבהיר חי אלול ניתלו מאורות אלו, וכהוראות נשיאינו כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ. בטח ימלאו תפקידם בתור צבאות הוי' וכמבואר בהמשך מאמרים דהסתלקות אשר שום מניעות אין מעכבים אותם מחיזוק התורה והיהדות בכלל, החינוך הכשר בפרט חינוך הכשר של הילדים והילדות הנמצאים כבר והעולים כעת לארץ הקדושה ביחוד ואשר הצלה רוחנית זו היא חוב קדוש של כל איש ואשה. בודאי יתחזקו בקיום כל מוסדות כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ וחפץ הוי' בידם יצליח.

בברכה שיזכו לקיים דרישת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ מאכן פון ארץ ישראל ארץ הקדושה, הצלחה בעבודתם, וכתיבה וחתימה טובה בגשמיות וברוחניות לכל המשתתפים ובני ביתם כל אחד ואחת בפרט -
