The Tanya*, in chapter 26, gives the interpretation of the Arizal* on the verse: "Because..." (note 2: "You did not serve Hashem your Elokim* with joy and enthusiasm, when you had everything in abundance" — emphasizing the importance of joy in the service of Hashem). You ask me about this, but you do not specify what your difficulty is.
