To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, the Rav Naftali (note 1: Rav N. Kraus, of Tel Aviv. See, regarding him, letter no. 6633),

I greet you and bless you,

After a particularly long interruption, I duly received your letter of 13 Sivan*, with what was enclosed therewith. Following what accompanied your letter, a correspondence was addressed to you, bypassing the queue, in order to prevent any improper publication. According to the photocopy transmitted, indeed, the letter you cite originates from the Kherson archives (note 2: In which copies of many letters of the Baal Shem Tov* and his disciples were found. See, on this subject, letter no. 2648), which means it is not an original manuscript but indeed a copy, as a letter of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, reproduced in HaTamim*, explains. No other proof is necessary for this, since a significant majority of these letters is written in the same handwriting. If the manuscript of the Alter Rebbe* that you mention in your letter is also in the same handwriting, it is certain that it originates from these archives.

I took note with pleasure, in your correspondence, of your acts of dissemination (note 3: Of the wellsprings of Chassidus*). Without a doubt, you take an active part in this matter, and from time to time, you increase it broadly. With my blessing to give good tidings,

P.S.: I am surprised that you tell me nothing of the activities undertaken by your wife, in accordance with the capacities that have been granted to her.

לאחרי הפסק הכי ארוך נתקבל מכתבו מי"ג סיון עם המצורף אליו, ובהמשך להמצורף במכתבו, נשלח המכתב מבלי לחכות על התור, בכדי למנוע פרסום בלתי מתאים, והוא כפי הצילום המכתב הוא מהגניזה החערסונית, ז.א. שאין זה גוף הכת"י כ"א העתקה [כמבואר במכתב כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הנדפס בהתמים] ולית דין צריך ראיות נוספות כיון שרוב המכריע של כל המכתבים הנ"ל הוא בכת"י האמור, ואם הכת"י דאדה"ז שמזכיר במכתבו הוא ג"כ בציור אותיות דומות, בודאי גם הוא מגניזה האמורה.

נעם לי לקרות במכתבו מ"ש אודות עניני הפצה ובודאי לוקח בזה חלק פעיל מוסיף ויוסיף כהנה וכהנה.
