To the great Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, the Rav Hillel (note 1: Rav H. Medalye, of Leeds. See, regarding him, letter no. 7163),

I greet you and bless you,

You ask me about the Shulamis* (note 2: Shir HaShirim* 7:1. This term describes the perfection of Israel and of Yerushalayim*). You will consult, on this subject, the words of our Sages* in Midrash* Shir HaShirim* Rabbah, chapter 7, paragraph 2, which is commented upon by the Chassidic* discourse entitled: "And all your children," of 5689, by my father-in-law, the Rebbe. You will also consult the Likkutei Torah*, Parshas* Re'eh, page 30c. I learned that you may have translated the Tanya* into English. I would like to know if this information is correct.
