By the grace of Hashem,

27 Iyar* 5720,

I greet you and bless you,

I duly received your letter of 21 Iyar* and, at a propitious moment, I will mention those you cite near the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us and whose name is borne by the network (note 1: The network of schools Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak Lubavitch in the Holy Land, in which the addressee worked), with all that it encompasses. Without a doubt, this will invoke even more broadly the great mercy of Hashem, so as to achieve success down to the smallest detail. Although you are unfortunately within the twelve months (note 2: Of mourning), I am confident that you will carry out your work with peace of mind, inspiration, and strong trust. Thus, Hashem will grant you the success of disseminating Judaism and what pertains to it, the central point of which is education based on sacred values. And your wife will do the same, for what concerns her.

Moreover, one must serve Hashem not only with inspiration but also with joy. One must deduce from this that this is in no way contradictory (note 3: With mourning) and that joy indeed breaks all limits. I mean that even if it is necessary to plan, to have a program established from the outset, as I have written many times, it nonetheless remains that subsequently, when one passes to action, one does so with drive and ardor, in an organized manner. Then, one receives, from on high, an increased blessing and the final synthesis will be positive — even far beyond what was anticipated — in the spiritual and material domains, especially since what has just been said is both material and spiritual. I enclose two letters addressed to all, from these recent weeks. Without a doubt, you will make use of them for what concerns you. With my blessing to give good tidings of all this, as well as to receive the Torah* with joy and in a profound manner,

ובעת רצון אזכיר את הענינים אודותם כותב - על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, שעל שמו נקראת הרשת וכל עניני'. ובודאי שזה יוסיף עוד בהתעוררות ר"ר שיהי' הכל בהצלחה בכל הפרטים. ותקותי חזקה שלמרות שהוא בתוך י"ב חדש ל"ע ול"ע, הרי יעבוד בעבודתו במנוחת הנפש ובטוב לבב ובטחון חזק, אשר חפץ ה' בידו יצליח לפעול להפיץ היהדות ועניני' ובנקודה הפנימית חינוך עטה"ק [וכן זוגתו תחי' - בעניני' היא]. ולא עוד אלא שכיון שעבודת ה' צ"ל לא רק בטוב לבב אלא גם בשמחה, הרי ע"כ צ"ל שאין בזה סתירה. ושמחה פורצת גדר, כוונתי שאף שמוכרחת השערה ותכנית מראש, ככתוב כ"פ, הנה לאחרי שנכנסו בעובי הענין ופועלים במסירה ונתינה ובאופן מסודר, משפיעים מלמעלה הצלחה ותוספת ברכה, שיהי' הס"ה טוב ועוד הרבה יותר מאשר שיערו מראש - הן בענינים הרוחנים והן בענינים הגשמים, ובפרט שכהנ"ל - גם הגשמיות רוחניות הוא.
