Igrot Kodesh · Letter 7310 — Faith & Bitachon

(22 Iyar* 5720)

I am responding to your letter of the luminous day of Lag BaOmer*. At a propitious moment, the name of your wife will be mentioned once again near the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, so that the wish of your heart be positively fulfilled (note 1: That of having children). It is quite evident that your work within a school of the network (note 2: The network of schools Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak Lubavitch in the Holy Land) bearing the name of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, near whose holy resting place your name will be mentioned, is the channel and the vessels for multiplying the blessings of Hashem in all your needs and particularly in this one. Indeed, the Holy One, blessed be He, acts "measure for measure" (note 3: In the manner in which one acts toward Him), but in greatly increased proportion. He will therefore cause "You shall teach them to your children — this refers to students" to become "You shall teach them to your children" in the literal sense.

Nevertheless — and this too is self-evident — pedagogical activity is a divine mission, as our Sages* emphasize, and it must therefore be assumed with self-sacrifice, drive, ardor, and constancy, without taking into account the troubles caused by the evil inclination, whether internal or external. And if this is so in every place, how much more so is it the case in our Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt in our generation, that of the heel of Moshiach*. May Hashem grant that you give me good tidings both of your communal achievements and of what concerns you personally.

בעת רצון יזכירו עוד הפעם את זוגתו תחי', על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, למילוי משאלות לבבם לטובה.

ומובן וגם פשוט, אשר עבודתם בבי"ס הרשת אשר על שמו של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, שעל הציון הק' שלו יזכרו, הרי הוא הצנור וכלים להוספה בברכת השי"ת בהמצטרך להם ובהנ"ל בפרט, שהרי מדתו של הקב"ה היא מדה כנגד מדה אלא שכ"פ ככה, מושננתם לבניך אלו התלמידים לושננתם לבניך כפשוטו.

אלא שגם זה פשוט, שמלאכת ה' היא מלאכת החינוך כהוראת חז"ל בזה - צריכה להיות ולהעשות במסירה ונתינה ושקידה, ועמידה על המשמר - מבלי להתחשב עם בלבול היצר, בלבולים מבפנים או מבחוץ, ואם בכל מקום כן הוא, עאכו"כ באה"ק ת"ו ובדורנו עקבתא דמשיחא. ויהי רצון שיבשר טוב בכל הענינים הכללים והפרטים גם יחד.
