By the grace of Hashem,

20 Iyar* 5720,

To the Women's and Girls' Organization of Chabad* in Kfar Chabad*, whom Hashem will grant long life,

I bless you and greet you,

I received, with pleasure, your letter of 16 Iyar*, in which you inform me of the study of the laws of family purity, in which your members participate. May Hashem grant that this take place at a good and fruitful moment. Fortunate is the lot of all those who make efforts in this direction, who lend their support, for this is indeed one of the foundations of our holy Torah*, Torah* of life, as various texts explain at length. One can also deduce this from the teaching of our Sages* according to which this Mitzvah* was entrusted to Jewish women, who thereby repair the original transgression — the source of all those committed in the world and of all that is not good here below.

May Hashem grant that your action serve as an example, that other women imitate it in various places. They will do so in calm, joy, and enthusiasm, and this will be the channel, the vessel, for multiplying the blessings of Hashem in all their needs — in general, in what concerns them deeply, with their husbands, in particular — that is, in the ability to educate all their children to Torah*, to the marriage canopy, and to good deeds. With my blessing to give good tidings of all this,

בנועם קבלתי מכתבן מט"ז אייר, בו כותבות על דבר השיעור בין החבירות בלימוד דיני טהרת המשפחה.

ויהי רצון שיהי' בשעה טובה ומוצלחת, ואשרי חלקן של כל אלו המשתדלות ומסייעות בזה, שהרי זהו מיסודי תורתנו הק' תורת חיים, וכמבואר בכמה מקומות בארוכה, ומובן גם כן ממאמר רז"ל שניתנה מצוה [זו] לנשי ישראל שעל ידי זה מתקנות הן חטא הראשון שהוא מקור כל החטאים אשר בעולם, ומקור כל הלא טוב אשר בעולם.

ויהי רצון אשר פעולתן האמורה תשמש דוגמא, ומהן תראינה וכן תעשינה נשי ישראל בכמה וכמה מקומות, ויהי' זה מתוך מנוחה שמחה וטוב לבב, וישמש זה גם כן צנור וכלי להוספה בברכות השי"ת בהמצטרך להן בכלל ובענין הפנימי אשר ביחד עם בעליהן שי' יגדלו את כל יוצאי חלציהם שי' לתורה ולחופה ולמעשים טובים.
