By the grace of Hashem,

13 Iyar* 5720,

I greet you and bless you,

I am responding to your letter from the eve of the holy Shabbos*, in which you discuss the manner in which you will earn your livelihood and the place of residence you will choose after your marriage, at a good and fruitful moment. As we heard many times from my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, the students of the Yeshivah* must pose these questions to those who direct the institution in which they pursue their studies. They will consult them not only in the moral domain, but also regarding what seems to them to be practical but which, in reality, is more spiritual than material.

May Hashem, Who grants His Providence* to each one, guide you toward what will be good for you in this domain — a true good. And there is no good other than Torah*. Although you do not specify it, I hope that you are redoubling your drive and ardor in the study of our holy Torah*, its revealed part and Chassidus*, as well as in the practice of its Mitzvos* in the best manner, for these are the channel and the vessels enabling one to receive the blessings of Hashem in all the needs of a person. With my blessing to give good tidings of all this,

במענה למכתבו מעש"ק, בו כותב אודות ענין הפרנסה וכן אודות מקום מגורם לאחרי החתונה בשעה טובה ומוצלחת.

כפי ששמענו כ"פ מכ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, על תלמידי ישיבה להציע עניניהם לפני הנהלת הישיבה בה לומדים, לא רק ענינים הרוחנים כי אם גם ענינים שלפ"ד גשמים הם, והרי הנ"ל לאמיתתם הם רוחנים יותר מאשר גשמים כמובן.

ויהי רצון אשר השי"ת המשגיח על כאו"א בהשגחה פרטית ינחהו בטוב לפניו בכל הנ"ל בטוב האמיתי ואין טוב אלא תורה.

תקותי שאף שאינו מזכיר עד"ז מוסיף בהתמדה ושקידה בלימוד תוה"ק תורת הנגלה ותורת החסידות והידור בקיום מצותי' והרי הם הצנור והכלים לברכות השי"ת בהמצטרך לאדם.
