To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, the Rav Yisrael (note 1: Rav I. Leibov, of Kfar Chabad*),

I greet you and bless you,

Following the letter that was addressed to me in the name of the youth of the Chabad* association (note 2: Of which Rav Leibov is the director), I duly received your correspondence of 2 Iyar*, the date of the birth of the Rebbe Maharash*, as well as the previous ones. It seems to me that I have already written to you that I will launch a specific collection in order to participate in the expenses of the Chassidic* gatherings that have taken place, up to one-third of their cost. The same will apply for Lag BaOmer* and for the publications you mention in your letter of 2 Iyar*. You make reference to a certain person and his participation in the activities of the Chabad* youth. It seems to me that I have already written to you that, regarding such people, it is difficult to give directives from here, for this depends on various criteria.

As for you, you tell me that your work within the framework of the Peilim* leads you to make journeys, which sometimes prevents you from leading the service and reciting the Kaddish* (note 3: Rav Leibov was then in mourning). I have already written on numerous occasions that in such a case, it is quite evident that the satisfaction and elevation of the soul (note 4: Of the deceased) cannot result from a deficiency in the Torah* and Mitzvos*. Now, education based on sacred values (note 5: Which is the domain of action of the Peilim*) is a fundamental domain thereof, and the merit of the public depends on it, far beyond the recitation of Kaddish*. There is therefore no reason to reduce your sacred mission linked to education based on sacred values. On the contrary, it must be strengthened. So that there be no lack, insofar as possible, you will recite the Kaddish* when you are able to, and furthermore, you will pay someone to recite it. In this way, your sacred mission will not be called into question. May Hashem grant that in this matter as well, the principle applies according to which "one Mitzvah* draws another."

From what I read between the lines and the news I receive indirectly, it seems that the Matzah Shemurah* distribution campaign was, this year, greatly reduced compared to previous years. I am surprised by this, for logically, the opposite should have been true. With my blessing to give good tidings of your communal achievements and your personal concerns,

From the amount that will be obtained through the specific collection, you will kindly transmit one hundred and eighty pounds to Rav Yisrael Has, of Raanana, in order to cover his expenses related to actions for education based on sacred values.

בהמשך להמכתב ע"ש צעירי אגו"ח מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מב' אייר, יום הולדת כ"ק אדמו"ר מוהר"ש, והקודמיו, וכמדומה שכבר כתבתי שאבקש מהמגבית מיוחדת להצטרף בההוצאות דהתועדות שבעבר עד כדי שליש ההוצאה, וכן בהנוגע לל"ג בעומר ועניני דפוס שכותב במכתבו מב' אייר.

במ"ש אודות פלוני - בהנוגע לעבודה בצעירי אגו"ח, כמדומה כבר כתבתי איזה פעמים שבהנוגע לאישים קשה להורות מכאן שהרי הענין תלוי בכמה פרטים.

בכתבו לענינו הוא שעבודתו בעניני הפעילים קשורה בנסיעות והרי לפעמים יגרע זה מלהיות עובר לפני התיבה וממספר הקדישים. - כבר כתבתי בכגון דא איזה פעמים, דפשיטא שקורת רוח ועלי' לנשמה א"א שתבוא ע"י גרעון בעניני תורה ומצות, והרי חינוך על טהרת הקדש נקודה יסודית בזה וזכות הרבים תלוי בזה (דלא בערך אמירת קדיש), שמזה מובן שאין לגרוע בעבודתו בקדש חינוך עטה"ק, ואדרבה להוסיף על זה.

ובכדי שלא יחסר (כפי האפשרי) בהאמור, יש מקום אשר נוסף על אמירת קדיש בזמנים שאפשר לו, ישכור מי שיאמר, ובמילא לא יחסר מעבודתו בקדש. ויהי רצון שגם בהאמור יקוים מצוה גוררת מצוה.

לפלא, שכנראה מבין השיטין וכן מהידיעות המתקבלות מן הצד, הרי מבצע דמצה שמורה בשנה זו - כנראה הי' בצמצום בערך שנים שעברו, אף שע"פ הסברא - איפכא צ"ל מסתברא.

בברכה לבשו"ט בענינים הכללים והפרטים גם יחד.

מהסכומים שיקבלו ממגבית המיוחדת - מטובו למסור מאה ושמונים לי' להרב ישראל שי' הס ברעננה להוצאות פעולותיו בחינוך על טהרת הקודש.
