To the great Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, of multiple accomplishments, the Rav Chaim Shaul (note 1: Rav Ch. Sh. Brook, of Rishon LeTzion. See, regarding him, letter no. 7081),

I greet you and bless you,

I am responding to your letter of 6 Iyar*, in which you consider a visit here, next Tishrei*. This proposal is judicious, provided no lack results from it, which Hashem forbid, for the Yeshivah* Achei Temimim* of Rishon LeTzion, for which Divine Providence* has granted you the merit and success of being the founder and director. Indeed, you have the merit of being one of the disciples of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, and of his father, the Rebbe (note 2: The Rebbe Rashab*), leaders of Israel. You will therefore be able to go to the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe. Of course, the details concerning this trip and the manner of carrying it out will need to be verified.

Without a doubt, the merit of your action within this institution, which you will surely intensify, in accordance with the Injunction that one ascends in the domain of holiness, will protect you, as well as your wife, in all your needs, and you will obtain the satisfaction of the wishes of your heart. The following clarification may seem unnecessary. Nevertheless, "one confers eagerness upon those who naturally possess this quality." In this instance, you will take advantage of Lag BaOmer* and the festival of Shavuos*, which are approaching, in conformity with their content, which is the dissemination of the wellsprings (note 3: Of Chassidus*) outward. Moreover, this year marks the bicentennial of the Hilloula* of the Baal Shem Tov*. It is therefore propitious for the dissemination of his wellsprings, which are Chassidus*. May Hashem grant that such action be conducted in the manner that is fitting, with great and considerable success. With my blessing to give good tidings of all this,

במענה למכתבו מו' אייר, בו כותב הסברא ע"ד ביקור כאן בימי תשרי הבע"ל.

בכלל באם לא יגרע ח"ו בקור זה בעניני ישיבת אח"ת אשר בראשון לציון, ואשר השגחה עליונה זיכתו והצליחתו להיות מיסדה ומנהלה, נכון הדבר. והרי זכה והי' מתלמידיו של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר ואביו כ"ק אדמו"ר נשיאי ישראל, ויוכל לבקר על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, ומובן שצריך לברר הפרטים בהנוגע להנסיעה ואופנה.

וזכות התעסקותו במוסד האמור, שבודאי עוד יוסיף בזה, וכהציווי דמעלין בקדש, תעמוד לו ולזוגתו תחי' בכל המצטרך להם, ובמילוי משאלות לבבו לטובה בהנ"ל.

ואף שלכאורה אין צורך לעוררו בהבא לקמן, בכל זה הרי אין מזרזין אלא למזורזין, בהנוגע לנצל יום הל"ג בעומר וחג השבועות הבע"ל בעניניהם, שהוא הפצת המעינות חוצה, ובפרט אשר השנה היא שנת המאתים להסתלקות הילולא של הבעש"ט ז"ל, שנת סגולה להפצת המעינות שלו, שהיא היא תורת החסידות, ויהי רצון שיעשו בזה ככל הדרוש ובהצלחה רבה ומופלגה.
