I bless you and greet you,

I am responding to your letter of Rosh Chodesh* Iyar*, in which you consider several possibilities regarding your action in the domain of education based on sacred values for the coming school year. You also mention the content of the talk of 10 Shevat*, the Hilloula* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, according to which one must not necessarily seek grandiose accomplishments. However, in the matter of education, another point is added to this and even plays an essential role. Indeed, it is very often extremely difficult to imagine what the future will be and what the possibilities of each student are. Thus, it is very possible that those who, at first glance, seem not to have the means will subsequently reveal capacities, or a strength of constancy and ardor, enabling them to achieve success in their study and conduct far beyond those who have average capacities. And it is they who will bring pride to their school, their teachers, and their instructors.

At every era, one has been able to concretely observe the immense effect of perseverance, even when means are limited. One has been able to note, in such cases, the revelation of immense capacities that were not suspected from the outset. This is particularly the case in the school where you have worked until now. According to your description, one can apply to it the following words of our Sages*: "Take heed of the children of the poor, for it is from them that the Torah* will emanate." Now, within this school, you bear a specific responsibility and you no doubt derive a particular inclination from it, for it is natural that a person have compassion for the work of his hands. You will deduce my opinion from what has just been said. You will therefore continue your action with great hope, with trust in the school in which you have worked until now. Without a doubt, your self-sacrifice for your work will be the channel and the vessel that bring you increased success in what you accomplish, multiplying the blessings, including in what concerns you personally, as well as for the members of your family. The latter, as you request, will be mentioned at a propitious moment near the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, whose name your school bears and who guides its spirit. With my blessing to give good tidings of all this,

במענה למכתבה מר"ח אייר, בו כותבת איזו סברות בהנוגע למקום עבודתה בחינוך על טהרת הקדש על זמן לימודים הבע"ל, ומזכירה גם כן תוכן השיחה ביו"ד שבט הילולא של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, שאין לרדוף אחרי גדולות דוקא וכו'.

והנה בהנוגע לשטח החינוך נוספה על נקודה האמורה עוד נקודה, וגם היא עיקרית, שלפעמים הכי רבות קשה לשער עתידם של התלמיד-ה ויכולתם, ז.א. שאפשר ואפשר שאפילו אלו הנראים לפשוטים בהשקפה ראשונה, הרי בעתיד אפשר שיתגלו בהם כשרונות או כח התמדה ושקידה כזה שיצליחו בלימודם ובהנהגתם הרבה יותר מבעלי כשרון סתם, ודוקא הם יהיו לתפארת ביה"ס והמחנכים מורים/ות שלהם, וכמו שראו במוחש בכל הזמנים גודל הפעולה של כח ההתמדה אפילו [כ]שהכשרון הי' פשוט, וכן שנתגלו כשרונות יוצא מן הכלל שמתחלה לא שיערו זה כלל, ובפרט בביה"ס בה עבדה עד עתה, שכנראה מתיאורה, מתאימה לזה מאמר חז"ל, הזהרו בבני עניים שמהם תצא תורה והרי דוקא ביחס לביה"ס זה יש לה אחריות מיוחדה ובודאי גם נטי' מיוחדה, שהרי טבעי הוא שאדם חס על מעשי ידיו.

מהאמור לעיל מובנת חוות דעתי, שתמשיך מתוך תקוה חזקה ובטחון בביה"ס בה מכהנת בקדש עד עתה, ובודאי המסירה שלה לעבודתה האמורה, יהי' הצנור והכלי לתוספת הצלחה בעבודתה ולתוספת ברכה גם בעניני' הפרטים ובעניני בני המשפחה אשר כבקשתה יזכירום על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, שעל שמו נקרא בית הספר וברוחו מתנהל.
