By the grace of Hashem,
12 Elul 5710,

To the Rav, Chassid* who fears Hashem, the Rav Saadya [1], emissary of the sages,

Greetings and blessings,

I reply to your letter of the second day of Rosh Chodesh Elul, to which was attached the list of donors:

1. for the construction of the Ohel [2],

2. for Merkaz L'Inyanei Chinuch, Machne Israel, and Kehot Publications,

3. for the repayment of debts.

I thank you for all this. One Mitzvah* draws another, and you will therefore redouble your ardor in all these domains. You will explain to these donors and to others that such a gift is the means to receive, in broad receptacles, blessings for all the material and spiritual good that our leader, my father-in-law, the Rebbe, who is in this world even more than during his lifetime, has granted, grants, and will grant them.

All limits have henceforth disappeared [3], and it is the same with the veils, which will diminish more and more, until we may perceive, with our eyes of flesh, the beneficial light.

You will consult the booklet enclosed, that which has been edited on the occasion of 18 Elul. This explains that vision also grasps the material outline of the one who sees and of what is seen.

The Chassidic discourses introduced by the verse "He will come, wearing a royal garment" and those that comment on them demonstrate the presence of the Essence of Hashem within matter.

Concerning Morocco, you will endeavor to establish all the documents necessary to obtain the entry visa. May all this take place with success. You will obtain these documents, the journey will go well, as will your work there, which will be in accordance with the will of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, so that each one of us, men and women, put into practice the mission that Hashem has entrusted to us.

I thank you for having let me know that a study time has been set in the synagogues of 25 and 17 rue des Rosiers [4], that studies also take place in all the settlements of the Chassidim* [5]. In each place, according to the conditions, a study no doubt bears on the teaching of my father-in-law, the Rebbe.

Wishing you to be inscribed and sealed for a good year, as well as all the members of your family and the whole of your community,

Menachem Schneerson
