I bless you and greet you,

After a long interruption, I duly received your letter of 17 Kislev* and I hope that your next letters will be in accordance with the teaching of the days of Chanukah*, during which one must multiply the lights and the clarity (note 1: That these letters be ever more numerous). The profound idea thereby introduced is that of the verse (note 2: Mishlei* 23:4): "For the candle is a Mitzvah* and the Torah* is a light." May it be so in all your personal concerns, as well as in your activity destined to strengthen and disseminate Yiddishkeit* and, in particular, Chassidus*, in an ever greater and ever more luminous manner. Despite all the difficulties, it is certain that it has been stated regarding this as well: "Nothing withstands the will." Certainly, an effort is necessary for this, but it has been verified in recent years that the success went far beyond what was imagined. You surely had the occasion to observe this in your activity, as did your husband, the Rav, in his. It is so in every place.

As we heard from my father-in-law, the Rebbe, a soldier goes to war with a joyous victory march (note 3: See, on this subject, letter no. 6238). In this way, the victory is increased and brought closer. The same applies to what is stated above. If you yourself, together with all those who participate in this activity, are joyous, confident in the victory of your enterprise, it will be easier, faster, and broader. It is therefore essential to strengthen your trust in Hashem. It is certain that Chassidus* will be victorious, including in your city. Fortunate, therefore, is your lot, you who assume this mission, who carry it out with joy and enthusiasm, as our masters ask of each person. With my blessing to give good tidings of all this,
