Igrot Kodesh · Letter 7049 — Prayer
Volume 19 · Letter 18
By the grace of Hashem,
Eve of Sukkos* 5720,
Brooklyn,
One shall transmit to the Chassidim*, within all of Israel, my blessings for the season of our rejoicing. At its beginning, there will be the campaign (note 1: So that the greatest number of Jews fulfill this Mitzvah*) for the four species, as it is said: "And you shall spread..." (note 2: "To the west and to the east, to the north and to the south," according to the slogan chosen by the Rebbe for the year 5719), among the four categories of the Jewish people (note 3: Corresponding to the four species — those who study Torah* and practice the mitzvos*, those who study but do not practice, those who do not study but practice, and those who neither study nor practice), whom one shall unite and inflame for the Torah*, the mitzvos*, and their inner dimension, in accordance with the teaching of the master of all Israel, the Baal Shem Tov*, since the year that has just begun is the bicentennial of his Hilloula*. His wellsprings shall disseminate to the outside, and then the master shall come — the king Moshiach* (note 4: In accordance with the promise made by Moshiach* to the Baal Shem Tov* when the latter experienced an ascent of the soul during the Rosh Hashanah* prayer). Have a joyous festival and give rejoicing tidings.
