By the grace of Hashem,

Eve of 14 Tishrei* 5720,

It is appropriate to strengthen the peace (note 1: This is the Rebbe's response to a request for blessing from the residents of Kfar Chabad*, following various events that occurred there), to unite and draw close the hearts of all, toward one another, to reinforce the conviction that: "Hashem your Elokim* is testing you." When one becomes aware that this is merely a test, it disappears entirely. From this, the profound meaning of the event becomes clear — the test and the elevation that results from it (note 2: When one overcomes it), above all the veils and concealments, until one becomes conscious of it, uniting with this situation through a strong and powerful bond, revealing it face to face, according to the expression of the Likkutei Torah*, Parshas* Re'eh*, from page 19b onward. In this way, the heavenly good will also become a visible and tangible good here below — a good for us, material and spiritual alike, "our joy," in the plural.
