To the young man, devoted to communal needs,

of multiple accomplishments, Yitzchak Tzvi (note 1: Rav I. Tz. Eisenbach, of Yerushalayim*. See, regarding him, letter no. 6547),

I greet you and bless you,

I have duly received your letter from the eve of the holy day (note 2: Yom Kippur*), with what was enclosed. I thank you very much for the good news of what has been accomplished in Ir Ganim (note 3: In the suburbs of Yerushalayim*). Without a doubt, the success experienced until now will lead you to multiply your activities. More generally, those who devote themselves to the network (note 4: Of the Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak* Lubavitch schools in the Holy Land) and invest their efforts in it will receive additional and solid strengths to broaden their accomplishments to the fullest extent possible. Now, if one who preserves a soul of Israel is considered as though he saved the entire world, how much more is this the case for one who saves two, three, or more. Indeed, one can observe with one's own eyes that, with the appropriate effort, it is feasible to add dozens of students (note 5: The Rebbe uses this term in both masculine and feminine) to the kindergarten and the school. Of course, all this must be accomplished without displaying one's victory over the opposing camp. Indeed, the words and paths of our Torah* are pleasant ways, as the teaching of Chassidus* emphasizes.

Based on what has just been said, it is perfectly wise to organize, in Ir Ganim, a Chassidic* farbrengen* and the celebration of Simchas Beis HaSho'eivah* (note 6: The joyous celebration during Chol HaMoed* Sukkos*, which commemorates the rejoicings in the Beis HaMikdash* when the water for the libations was drawn). With my blessing of success in all this, until: "You shall spread to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south" (note 7: According to the slogan chosen by the Rebbe for the year 5719), in order to obtain "an inheritance without limit," and in anticipation of your good tidings,

מאשרים קבלת מכתבו מאור ערב היום הקדוש, עם המצורף אליו, ות"ח ת"ח על הבשורה טובה מהענינים בעיר גנים, ובודאי ההצלחה דעד עתה - תוסיף בהם, ובכללות המתעסקים ומשתדלים בעניני הרשת, כחות נוספים וחזקים, להרחבת הענינים ככל האפשרי, ואם המקיים נפש אחת מישראל כאילו קיים עולם מלא, עאכו"כ שנים-שלשה ועוד. והרי נראה לעינים, שבהשתדלות מתאימה - אפשר להוסיף עוד עשיריות תלמידים-ות בגן וביה"ס. מובן שהנ"ל צריך להעשות באופן שלא להכניס ענין הנצחנות בהכנגד, שהרי דברי ודרכי תורתנו הם דרכי נועם וכמודגש בתורת החסידות.
