I greet you and bless you,

With the greatest surprise, mixed with sorrow, I have taken notice of your letter and your request for blessing from the conclusion of Shabbos*. The reason for my surprise is quite clear. A request for blessing is ordinarily read at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us. Now, in this case, what shall I announce at his resting place? I shall say that there is, in our Holy Land, may it be restored and rebuilt, such a man who fears Hashem, and his wife, also from a Chabad* family, living in a Chabad* environment, who have ensured the education of their children in the institutions of my father-in-law, the Rebbe. Now, this man has just written to me to announce that he is removing his eldest daughter from one of these institutions of my father-in-law, the Rebbe.

Of course, he encloses the explanations on this subject from the expert that we know (note 1: The evil inclination), in order to justify that there is indeed a necessity here. And because of this, you are also removing your younger daughter from an institution of my father-in-law, the Rebbe (note 2: So as not to separate the two children). Consequently, you are moving with all the members of your family, and you are therefore leaving the Chabad* neighborhood (note 3: To be closer to the new school). You even specify: "at a good moment"! When I go to the resting place, how shall I present this good news to my father-in-law, the Rebbe?

וסיבת התימהון הרי פשוטה היא: הנוהג הוא לקרות פ"נ על ציון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע.

ובנדו"ז מה אבוא להודיע עה"צ, אשר באהקת"ו נמצא פ' יר"ש וכו' וזוג' תי' ג"כ ממשפחה חב"דית וכו' ודרים בסביבה חב"דית וחנכו יו"ח שי' במוסדות כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר -

ונתקבל ז"ע מכתב ממנו אשר החליט להוציא בתו הבכירה ממוסד כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר (וכמובן הסברת אומן הידוע - שמוכרח הוא בזה) ולכן מוציא גם את בתו הצעירה ממוסד כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר ו(לכן) מעתיק את דירתו ודירת כב"ב שי' משכונה החב"דית - ככתבו "בשעה טובה" -
