You refer to the reunification of the school, so that everything would be in one place. It is evident that this is out of the question. One must guard against this to the highest degree, but in a diplomatic manner, without lacking respect for anyone, without even hurting anyone's pride. This can be explained in various ways. First of all, it is not being asked to dissolve your community in order to integrate it into theirs, and there is no reason to do so, which Hashem forbid. Moreover, one cannot impose on all a single educational program. On the contrary, there must exist several programs which, naturally, will all be based on sacred values, so that each one can choose the one that suits him best.

Thus, even in Kfar Chabad*, there were founded, among others, a Talmud Torah*, a Yeshivah*, a vocational school, an agricultural school, and all these institutions are Chabad*. How much more must this be so in a large city like yours. All agree that there can be several synagogues in a single neighborhood, provided that each has its own rite. The same applies to education. Some favor the study of the Mishnah* and others that of the Gemara*, some opt for the accumulation of knowledge and others for in-depth analysis, some are interested in Halachah* and others in Torah* "for its own sake," and there exist many other distinctions as well. The more you shorten the discussions on this matter, without putting forward the principles, the better it will be, with a view to maintaining good and pleasant relations in the future.

... בהנוגע לצירוף ביה"ס, שיהי' הכל במקום א' - מובן שאין לזה מקום כלל. וצריך להשתמט מזה בהחלט, אלא - שבאופן דיפלומטי מבלי לנגוע בכבודו של מי שהוא, ואפילו לא בישות של מי שהוא. וכמה הסברות לזה: הרי אין דרישה ומקום לבטל קהלתם ח"ו, ולצרפה לקהלתם. ועד"ז בהנ"ל אין להכריח את הצבור על תכנית חינוך אחת לכולם. ואדרבה צ"ל כמה תכניות - מובן שכולן עטה"ק - בכדי שכאו"א יבחור בהיותר מתאימה לו (והראי' - שבכפר חב"ד עצמו ייסדו ת"ת, ישיבה, ביסל"מ, בי"ס לחקלאות ועוד, אף שכולם חב"ד'ניקעס. ועאכו"כ - בעיר גדולה כ...), והכל מודים שכמה בתכנ"ס אפ"ל בשכונה אחת באם הנוסח שונה, ועד"ז בחינוך - יש מבכרים לימוד משנה או גמרא, בקיאות או חריפות, דינים או תורה לשמה ועוד ועוד. וככל שיקצרו בהשקו"ט בזה, ולא יבליטו את הפרינציפ שבהענין - טוב יותר בשביל שיהיו היחסים להבא טובים יותר ונוחים יותר.
