By the grace of Hashem,

To the directors of the Lubavitch institution in England (note 1: See, on this subject, letter no. 6775),

may Hashem grant you long life,

I greet you and bless you,

I received, with pleasure, your letter of 7 Tammuz*, written by the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, devotes himself to communal needs, and is filled with eagerness, Rav* Shlomo Perrin (note 2: See, concerning him, letter no. 6922), as well as the key to the building of the Beis Lubavitch*, which the emissaries transmitted to me. At a propitious moment, I will mention your names at the resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, so that Hashem accede to your request, in accordance with what you write to me, that your actions be crowned with success and that you spread the wellsprings of Chassidus*.

May Hashem grant that the Beis Lubavitch* become a center from which all the values of Yiddishkeit*, of Torah*, of mitzvos*, permeated with warmth, enthusiasm, ardor, and light, will spread and be disseminated. These are the fundamental accomplishments of Jewish conduct in daily life. Indeed, it is said of every specific aspect of Jewish life: "In all your ways, know Him," as the Halachah* rules in the Tur* and Shulchan Aruch*, section Orach Chaim*, chapter 231. By meditating on "all your ways" in which Hashem is found, one arrives at "knowing Him" and drawing close to Him. A Jew must derive from this enthusiasm and feel a true light in the profound dimension of his soul.

May Hashem also grant blessing and success in what personally concerns each man and woman who takes part in what has just been said. Thus, in tranquility and satisfaction, with expansiveness of spirit, you will do all that has just been said, experiencing elevation in the domain of holiness, adding and illuminating, until the fulfillment of the Divine Injunction: "And you shall spread forth, to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south" (note 3: According to the slogan chosen by the Rebbe for this year). With my respects, my blessing for considerable success so that the Beis Lubavitch* achieves its objective in all domains, with joy, enthusiasm, and expansiveness of spirit,

קבלתי מכתבו מכ״ז סיין .משמח אותי לראות את ההתענינות שלו

בעבודת ליובאוויטש השואפת להפיץ את אור התורה ומצוות על טהרת

הקדש .בקשר לכך בטח יענין אותו לקבל עותק ה׳מסר׳ המצו״ב ,מפרשת

בהעלותך ,שתקותי שגם יבוא לשימוש וייושם במעשים בפועל.

כיון שאינו מזכיר אודות הבריאות ,הנני מניח שהכל בסדר ,וילך

מטוב לעוד יותר טוב.

בשאלה אם כדאי לקנות בתים ,בתור מקור הכנסה עבור ׳בית

ליובאוויטש׳ ,הדבר תלוי במצב הנדל״ן באנגלי׳ בזמן זה ,וכן גם בתנאי

הקני׳ .אם שני הדברים הם ,לפי המידע שלו ,חיוביים ,יתן השם יתברך

שזה יהי׳ בהצלחה גדולה.

בנוגע לשאלת המניות ,נראה לי שכיון שכבר החזיק אותן כל כך

הרבה זמן ,לא כדאי למכור כעת בחצי מחיר ,ועדיף להחזיק בהן עד

שיהי׳ אפשר למכור אותן בריווח.

בשאלה אודות העברת העסק למקום אחר ,והאם משתלם לעבור

לאזור יקר יותר עם הוצאה גדולה יותר ,אבל בשל כך תהי׳ לעסק

יכולת להתפתח -ידועה שיטתי שזה צריך להיות ב״ואתהלכה ברחבה״

ברוחב .בפרט שהקב״ה זיכה אותו ברעיון הטוב להיות אחראי עבורההוצאה של בית ליובאוויטש -יש להרחיב את הצנורות כדי לקבל

כמה שיותר ברכה והצלחה מהקב״ה ,כיון שחלק מההכנסה הולך

למטרה הקדושה האמורה .והגם שההבטחה של ״עשר בשביל

שתתעשר״ קיימת תמיד ,אך עדיין צריך לעשות גם בדרך הטבע

להרחיב הצמרות וכלים .ויהי רצון שיהי׳ משנה מקום משנה מזל

לטובה ולברכה עבור העסק ,ולנצל הרווחים לדברים טובים ושמחים,
