I greet you and bless you,

I have learned, with pleasure, that the Bar Mitzvah* of your son was celebrated this Shabbos*, at a good and fruitful time. Your son surely knows that this celebration marks the beginning of a new period — that he must henceforth fully manifest his Yiddishkeit*, in all domains, with the full responsibility as well as the merit that result from it. May Hashem grant you, as well as your wife, true satisfaction — that is, a Jewish satisfaction — from the young Bar Mitzvah*. May he be a Chassid*, a Torah* scholar, and one who fears Hashem, observing the mitzvos* in the best manner, with Chassidic* warmth and light, which bring the greatest happiness, not only in the spiritual domain, but also materially.

Without a doubt, the young man will always remember that the Shabbos* of his Bar Mitzvah* was 12 Tammuz*, the auspicious date of the liberation of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, from the prisons of Soviet Russia, where he gave of his very person for the Jews and for Yiddishkeit*. In this way, he infused in all renewed strength and success, particularly for those who are close to his sacred work and his holy institutions.
