Igrot Kodesh · Letter 6920 — Tzedakah

By the grace of Hashem,

3 Tammuz* 5719,

Brooklyn,

I greet you and bless you,

I have duly received your letter of 20 Sivan*. We are entering the month of the liberation of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, whose merit protects us, which was the deliverance of the greatest number, at that time and for the years and generations that followed, as attested by the details of the account of the imprisonment and the liberation (note 1: See letter no. 6912).

May there therefore result from this actions in the domains for which he gave of himself — that is, the spreading of Yiddishkeit*, in general, and of the wellsprings (note 2: Of Chassidus*), in particular. All those who maintain a connection to and have knowledge of all this are obligated to do so. For the action to be fruitful, one needs tranquility, joy, and enthusiasm. The Shepherd of Yisrael will cause His face to shine and will free you from all that stands as an obstacle. You will complete all this with a true expansiveness, material and spiritual. מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מכ' סיון.

וכיון שנכנסים הננו לחדש הגאולה של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, אשר היתה בזה גאולת הרבים בעת ההיא ולשנים ולדורות הבאים לאחרי זה, וכמובן מפרטי הענינים של פרשת המאסר והגאולה.

הנה יבוא זה בפועל בפעולות באותם השטחים עליהם מסר נפשו, הם עניני הפצת היהדות בכלל והפצת המעינות ביחוד, שכל השייכים ויודעים עד"ז מחוייבים בזה, וכיון שלהצלחת העבודה זקוקים למנוחה שמחה וטוב לבב, הנה רועה ישראל יאר פניו ויגאל אותו מכל ענינים המבלבלים, וימלא את כל הנ"ל מתוך הרחבה אמתית הן בגשמיות והן ברוחניות.
