To the great Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem,
Rav Refael Toledano [1] Shlita,
Chief Rabbi of Meknes [2],

Greetings and blessings,

I have sent today a telegram for the rabbinical conference, to the address of the Chief Rabbi of Rabat, Rav Shaul Danan Shlita. I send you the text of it, lest errors have crept into the English transcription:

"I extend my blessings to all the rabbis who have gathered for the honor of Hashem, in order to strengthen Torah and Yiddishkeit*. You will doubtless set as your essential goal — which you will seek to realize with the greatest mesirus nefesh* — a good chinuch* for all the children, all the youth, when they find themselves in your country or when they emigrate from it.

Upon this chinuch depends the perpetuity of our people. By the merit of Teshuvah*, of Torah, and of Mitzvos*, Hashem will preserve us from the birth-pangs of Moshiach*, and will send us very soon our righteous Moshiach, who will redeem us from our exile and lead us to the true redemption.

היום יצאה טלגרמה ע"ש אסיפת הרבנים על כתובת הרה"ג ראש הרבנים שבעיר ראבאט מוהר"ר שאול שליט"א דאנאן, וזו לשונה שמא נפלו שיבושים בהעתקה האנגלית:

"שולח אני ברכותי לכל הרבנים שהתאספו לכבוד השם

יתברך לדון בחיזוק התורה והיהדות. בטח ישימו מעקרי

מגמתם להבטיח, בהתמסרות הכי גדולה, חינוך כשר לכל

הילדים והילדות הנערים והנערות בהמצאם במדינתם וגם

כשבאים למדינות אחרות, אשר בחינוך הזה תלוי קיום עמנו.

ובזכות התשובה, התורה והמצוה יצילנו השם יתברך מחבלי

המשיח וישלח לנו משיח צדקנו בעגלא דידן, והוא יוציאנו

מגלותנו ויגאלנו בגאולה האמתית.
