I am responding to your letter of this Thursday, in which you are considering going to the wedding of your son, at a good and fruitful time. However, this seems difficult to understand. You are thinking of undertaking such a journey, which will have such a cost, in addition to the time that will need to be devoted to it. Now, even if you have this money, the situation of the engaged couple is such that you could advantageously use it to help them settle in. For they would even find the means to make good use of larger sums!
May Hashem* grant that you make the decision that is truly good in this matter. Thus, for long days and good years, you will experience true satisfaction — a Jewish and Chassidic* satisfaction — from all your children.

ולכאורה אינו מובן :לעשות נסיעה כזו שכרוכה בכאלו הוצאות
כספיות )בהוספה גם על הזמן( ,שאפילו אם הכסף נמצא במזומן ,הרי
לפי מצב החתן והכלה ,אפשר להשתמש בכסף להסתדרותם ,שבטח גם
סכומים גדולים יותר יביאו להם תועלת.
והשם יתברך יעזור ,שיחליט כפי שטוב באמת .ולאריכות ימים
ושנים טובות יהי׳ לו נחת יהודי אמיתי ,ונחת חסידי מכל ילדיו שיחיו.
