To the distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem* and carries out a sacred mission, Rav Yitzchak (note 1: Rav I. Yadgar, of Taanach),
Greetings and blessings,
I am responding to your letter of 12 Shevat*, in which you describe how you are settling in Taanach. You ask me whether you should apply for the neighborhood that is going to be built in Kfar Chabad* (note 2: In order to receive an apartment there). For the time being, you need not concern yourself with it. You must rather concentrate all your attention on your sacred mission — education based on sacred values within the framework of the Oholei Yosef Yitzchak* Lubavitch schools of the Holy Land, in the place where you currently are.
Moreover, you write to me that the inhabitants of this place belong, for the most part, to your community (note 3: The Jews of Kurdish origin). Now, as our holy Torah* rules, "the poor of your city have precedence" (note 4: Over all other poor). Various texts explain the reward for those who adopt such an activity, in particular success in one's personal concerns. The merit of your activity within the Oholei Yosef Yitzchak* Lubavitch schools, which you will surely intensify, will protect you, so that the wish of your heart may be fulfilled (note 5: Presumably that of having children), for good and for blessing. ולעת עתה אין עליו להתענין בזה, כי אם לרכז כל שימת לבבו למלאכתו מלאכת הקדש, חינוך על טהרת הקדש אשר בבתי ספר אהלי יוסף יצחק ליובאוויטש אשר באה"ק ת"ו, ובמקומו עתה. ובפרט שכפי כתבו, רובם הם מבני עדתו, ופסקה תוה"ק עניי עירך קודמין. ושכר כל העוסקים בזה, הרי מבואר בכ"מ, וכולל הצלחה גם בענינים הפרטים...
וזכות התעסקותו בבי"ס אהלי יוסף יצחק ליובאוויטש כנ"ל, אשר בודאי גם יוסיף בזה, תעמוד לו למילוי משאלות לבבו לטובה ולברכה.
