To the Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem, ...
I greet you and bless you.
I reply to your letter of Monday.
From a halachic point of view, it is, of course, preferable to collect the seed from the woman after marital relations.[1] One must do this just after these relations, and the doctor will indicate to you in what manner to proceed. Analyses have already been performed in this way and they have been conclusive.
The Rav of Rogatchov, who generally adopts a stringent position in this matter, permits in his Responsa Tzofnas Pa'aneach, vol. 1, end of chapter 9, the use of a very tight condom in which air cannot enter, so that the seed remains in it.[2]
May Hashem grant that everything proceed well and fruitfully.
I read your request for a blessing in the office of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, where he receives people and grants his blessings. He surely granted his blessing to you and to your wife, in all your needs, in particular to have a child.
The Holy One, blessed be He, fully accomplishes the blessings of the tzaddikim. When Hashem rejoices your heart, you will not fail to communicate the good news to me.

במענה על מכתבו מיום ב':
כמובן אופן היותר טוב מצד ההלכה הוא שיקחו הזרע לאחרי התשמיש מהאשה אלא שצריך להיות בסמיכת זמן, ובודאי יורה הרופא איך לעשות זה. וכבר עשו אנאליז באופן כזה והצליח.
הגאון מראגאצאב, אף שבכלל הוא מחמיר בענינים אלו, מתיר בשו"ת שלו (צפנת פענח ח"א ספ"ט) ג"כ באופן דיעשה כיס דחוק מאד על האבר דלא יהי' כלל אויר בין הכיס לאבר, ואז נשאר הזרע בכיס.
והשי"ת יעזור שיהי' הכל כשורה ובהצלחה.
הפ"נ שלו קראתיו בהיכל כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ שבו נכנסים ליחידות ונתינת פדיונות. ובודאי ברכם אותו ואת זוגתו תחי' בהמצטרך לו ולה ובפרט בזרעא חייא וקיימא והקב"ה ממלא ברכות צדיקים על מילואן. וכשישמח הוי' לבבם בטח יודיע הבשורה הטובה.
