By the grace of Hashem,

6 Menachem Av 5710,

To the young man, the Chassid* ...,

I greet you and bless you.

I reply to your letter.

May you be a worthy receptacle for all the blessings — material and spiritual — that my father-in-law, the Rebbe, granted you and continues to grant you, to be fully revealed in you. You will know success in your efforts on yourself and on others.[1]

Even more, this birthday makes you enter your twenty-fourth year, when, according to all opinions, one is no longer considered a child.[2] You will consult, on this subject, tractate Kiddushin 30a and the Hilchos Talmud Torah of the Alter Rebbe, chapter 1, end of paragraph 6.
