To the great Rav, distinguished Chassid* who fears Hashem*, of

multiple accomplishments and good conduct,

Greetings and blessings,

I received your letter with pleasure. It dealt with the visit to the convalescence home by the students of our holy Yeshivah*, during the two days of Rosh Hashanah*, in order to provide its residents with the possibility of fulfilling the Mitzvah* of the sounding of the Shofar*. Our Sages* say that one of the purposes of this sounding of the Shofar* is the coronation of the King, King of kings, the Holy One, blessed be He, in our material and coarse world, with everything that this implies. Hashem* is the Essence of good, the Source of beneficence. Now, "heavenly Royalty is comparable to earthly royalty" and, on the day of the coronation (note 2: Of a king of flesh and blood), "he gives presents to the regions" (note 3: According to the verse of Megillas Esther*, referring to the coronation of Achashverosh*).

May these presents therefore take the form of an improvement in physical health and moral health, for all the residents of the convalescence home near which you carry out your sacred mission, among all of Israel, in a visible and tangible good. Always and every day, you will give me good news of your grandchildren, whom you mention in your letter, as well as of all those who belong to this institution and of what concerns them. With my respects and my blessing that you be definitively inscribed for a good year,

נעם לי לקבל מכתבו, ותוכנו ע"ד בקור תלמידי ישיבתנו הק' בבית ההבראה בשני ימים של ר"ה, להוציא הנמצאים שם ידי חובתם במצות תקיעת שופר.

וכיון שאמרו חז"ל, שאחד מעניני תקיעת שופר, הוא הכתרת ממה"מ הקב"ה בעולמנו זה הגשמי והחומרי וכל עניניו, הרי השי"ת הוא עצם הטוב ומקור הטוב, ומלכותא דרקיע כעין מלכותא דארעא, שביום הכתרה הנחה עשה למדינות,

תומשך הנחה זו בעניני הטבת בריאות הגוף והטבת בריאות הנשמה, של כל הנמצאים בבית ההבראה בו מכהן בקדש, בתוך כלל ישראל בטוב הנראה והנגלה,

ותכה"י יבשר כת"ר בשו"ט בהנוגע לנכדיו שיחיו אודותם מזכיר במכתבו זה, וכן בהנוגע לכל אנשי המוסד ועניניהם.
