Greetings and blessings,

A few weeks ago, you wrote to me (note 1: See, on this subject, Letter no. 6177) about the separation (note 2: Between the boys and the girls, at the school) that you were unable to carry out because those who opposed it prevailed. However, you added, one can hope for an improvement, an evolution of the situation. I hope that with the new school year, this positive evolution will be accomplished. In any event, I have great hope that you will continue your efforts with the appropriate eagerness. Moreover, you know the arguments put forward by the opposing camp. You have therefore done and continue to do everything necessary so that these be dismissed from the outset. Your letter seems to indicate that the cost that will result from it is put forward first. Now, if one establishes a program to reduce expenses wherever possible, one eliminates this argument.

It is surely unnecessary to remind you that if a complete solution (note 3: For the entire school) is not possible, it can at least be partial, concerning at least the older classes. The merit of what is public — in this case, of these students — will come to your aid so that in the end, the solution will indeed be complete. On the occasion of the new year, which is coming for us and for all of Israel, for good and for blessing, I address to you, as well as to all those who follow you, my wishes for a good and sweet year, materially and spiritually alike. שלום וברכה! לפני כמה חדשים כתב לי ע"ד השתדלותו בענין ההפרדה, אשר לא עלתה לו אז מפני שיד מנגדי ההפרדה היתה על העליונה, אלא שיש לקוות להטבה ושנוי לטוב.

ותקותי אשר לעונת הלמודים החדשה הי' שנוי ממשי לטוב. ועכ"פ בטוחני אשר כ' ממשיך השתדלותו בזה במרץ המתאים, ובפרט בידעו טענות הצד שכנגד, בטח עשה ועושה כל הדרוש שיסתתמו מעצמם, והרי כנראה ממכתבו עיקר הטענה הוא הוצאות הכסף שבזה, וכשיש תכנית לקמץ בהוצאות במקום האפשר הרי מבטלים טענה זו.

ובטח למותר להדגיש שאפילו אם אי אפשר להציל כולו, הרי הצלת חלק גם כן כדאי, כוונתי לכתות הגדולות בגיל לכל הפחות. וזכות הרבים צ התלמידים והתלמידות צ מסייעתו להצליח סוף סוף להציל גם כולו.

ולקראת השנה החדשה הבאה עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה ולברכה, הנני מאחל לכ' ולכל הנלוים אליו ברכת כתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה ומתוקה בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.
